  International Dialing Instructions
When calling the UK from overseas, first of all check the time in the UK by clicking HERE. Then you will need to call using a phone with access to an overseas or international phone line. Some phones, such as cell or mobile phones are blocked from making international outgoing calls. The country code for the UK is "44", and most countries have a prefix that accesses their international dialing system (for example in the US, all international calls are started with "001" followed by the country code (for the UK, "44"). BUT because the UK uses a "0" as the first digit for many numbers, this has to be removed before dialing.
    
So to call the UK:
  • First, make sure that the phone that you are using can make international calls
                      
  • Second, find out what the international calling prefix for your area is. For example if calling internationally FROM anywhere in the US, you would dial "001"
                      
  • Third, enter the country code. For the CruiseDrive booking office in the United Kingdom this would be the country code for the UK "44"
                      
  • Last, do not dial the first "0" in the number, just dial the rest of the number, "1 708 763 152"

So, to make an international call from (for example), the US to the UK CruiseDrive booking office, you would dial this sequence of numbers

However, we don't want to confuse you further, but if you are in the US, you can call us on our toll-free number at 1.800.431.6881. Depending on the time that you call, one of our US booking agents will answer, or your call will be transferred directly to the UK, and it will still be a FREE call!

Note: Although you remove the preceding "0" from a UK number when calling internationally, leave it there IF you are IN the UK and calling us. This is not an international call, and the English telephone switchboard will need it. If you ARE in the UK, call EITHER 0800 169 7579 for a toll-free (or Freephone call), or call us directly at 01 708 763 152.
